Centering ceiling by service for a card whose worst axis measures 75/25 (front; back not considered here). The ceiling is the highest grade whose published centering line the card meets. Corners, edges and surface can hold or lower it, and PSA gives a 5% front leeway for cards that grade PSA 7 or better, so up to 5 points beyond its line may still pass on strong eye appeal. How to measure the ratio.

|---|---|---|
| PSA | EX-MT 6 | line: 80/20 front |
| Beckett (BGS) | EX 5 | line: 75/25 front |
| CGC Cards | Ex/NM 6 | line: 75/25 front |
| SGC | 6 EX-MT | line: 75/25 front |
| TAG | EX-MT 6 | line: ~75/25 front |
| ACE | EX-MT 6 | line: under 80/20 front |
“~” is the company’s own “approximately”; “under” marks ACE’s lines, which exclude the boundary (“less than” or “greater than” a split), so a card exactly on the figure does not meet them.
Not on PSA’s published lines: 75/25 is outside PSA’s ~55/45 front line for GEM-MT 10, and the highest PSA line it meets is EX-MT 6 (80/20). It is within 5 points of the NM 7 line (~70/30). PSA adds: "A 5% leeway is given to the front centering minimum standards for cards which grade PSA 7 or better." A card inside the published figure meets it; up to 5 points beyond may still pass on strong eye appeal.
On published lines alone, PSA (EX-MT 6), CGC (Ex/NM 6), SGC (6 EX-MT), TAG (EX-MT 6) and ACE (EX-MT 6) are level at the top. Market value per grade differs by service, which is what the Advisor accounts for.
